Some Chinese characters are rendered using Japanese fonts when exporting workbooks to PDF.
This is currently limited by design due to the font(s) supported on Tableau Cloud and as a result, different fonts can be used to substitute a missing font on the client machine.
This Product Help article is written for Tableau Server, but the information serves to provide context about server and client view rendering, view complexity, and methods to force client side rendering using URL parameters. Please note that global configuration changes using TSM commands are not applicable to Tableau Cloud sites.
