When converting a published live connection that connects to private network data source to an extract in Tableau Cloud the following error will occur:

This server violates the ip allowlist/blocklist restrictions

Cause

In the current release of Tableau Cloud, the function of converting a published live connection which connects to a private network data source to an extract in Tableau Cloud is not supported.
Ratkaisu
Publish the extract to Tableau Cloud from Tableau Desktop, then schedule the refresh via Tableau Bridge.
