Tableau Desktop has a feature to copy and paste the data directly into your workbook. If the "Clipboard_xxxx" data source is unintentionally added by pressing Ctrl+V (or Command+V on Mac) on Tableau Desktop, please select Menu>Data>"Clipboard_xxxx">Close to delete the "Clipboard_xxxx" data source.
Note: If you don't see "Clipboard_xxxx" under Data menu, the error and the issue is not related to the content of this article. xxxx is an arbitrary number/text strings e.g. "Clipboard_20250216T135345" which could be a data source created and pasted in Tableau Desktop when you accidently pressed Ctrl + C and Ctrl +V. It is a name of the data copy/pasted data source that appear under Data menu, and not part of the standard function or menu item otherwise.
