Connected Apps Authentication Fails in Safari on iOS

Description

When using the Safari or Chrome browser on iOS to access an embedded Tableau view that uses connected apps for authentication, the user is prompted to sign in. Additionally, the connected apps authentication works when the embedded view is accessed in a desktop browser.

Cause

Third-party cookies have been disabled on the iOS device. As noted in Configure Connected Apps with Direct Trust, for users to successfully authenticate when they access embedded content, browsers must be configured to allow third-party cookies.
Résolution
Configure the Safari browser to allow third-party cookies, and then use Safari to access the embedded view.
