Error publishing a Prep flow to Tableau Server:

Error publishing flow. Check that all fields in the Publishing pane have valid values and the flow name and description don't exceed 250 characters.

Possible Causes

1. The Tableau Server release cadence is not the same as Tableau Prep Builder. In some cases, errors will occur publishing from a higher version of Tableau Prep than Tableau Server. For example, publishing from Tableau Prep 2022.4 to Tableau Server 2022.3. See additional information on Tableau Prep and Tableau Server compatibility in this Tableau Online Help.

2. There're multiple connections to Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud for different input steps, causing repeated connection.

솔루션

If Tableau Prep Builder is not the same major version as Tableau Server, recreate the same Flow with another Tableau Prep Builder version, which is at the same major version as Tableau Server. This does not apply to Tableau Cloud.

If there are multiple connections to Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud, make sure all input steps using published data sources are from the same connection to Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud, and remove other connections.
