Unable to sign in to Tableau Cloud from Tableau Prep Builder in an authentication-required Proxy environment

When connecting to Tableau Cloud with Tableau Prep Builder in a an authentication required proxy environment, the following error may occur.

Can't connect to Tableau Server

Check that the server is running and that the URL is correct. If this host is using the http protocal, make sure to include "http://"" in the URL.

Cause

Tableau Prep Builder does not support a proxy with pass-through or manual proxy authentication currently.
Ratkaisu
Work with IT teams to allow the access to Tableau Cloud through the proxy without any authentication required.
