After Upgrading Tableau Server Publishing from Tableau Desktop Removes the Port from URL Resulting in a 404 Error

Description
In-place upgrade of Tableau Server has changed the behavior when publishing workbooks from Tableau Desktop causing a 404 error when the publish confirmation window is opened.

Cause

After an upgrade the gateway.public.base_url was not automatically set, which caused errors with the Proxy service.
Résolution
Verify that the gateway.public.base_url  has been configured with the correct URL and port value.
