'Failed to authenticate username and password' error occurs when creating the Initial Tableau Server User on an instance that uses Active Directory (AD) authentication.
The required Secondary Active Directory domain has not been allowed.
If Tableau Server connects to multiple domains, any additional domain to which Tableau Server connects must be specified by configuring the wgserver.domain.accept_list option with TSM. For more information, see wgserver.domain.accept_list.
