Description

When connecting to Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, the following errors may occur:

while trying to browse an Azure storage endpoint:

Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 was unable to process this request. Please report this problem to Tableau.

or, after entering a file URL:

Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 has rejected this request because of insufficient permissions.

Cause

The Azure storage account used does not have the required permissions, or the CORS options for the Blob service have not been configured correctly.
Résolution
Ensure that the storage account used meets the requirement as stated in About Azure storage accounts, and that the CORS options for the Blob service are enabled as described in the same document.
