Error "NO_POOLED_AGENTS_ASSIGNED" When Connecting via Tableau Bridge

Date de publication: Feb 23, 2026
Description

When viewing workbooks, refreshing data sources, or running Tableau Prep flows that utilize Tableau Bridge, the following error may occur:

NO_POOLED_AGENTS_ASSIGNED
domainErrorCode=330209

or

Unable to connect to the <database type> "<server name>". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.

Cause

The allowlist registry requires the server address or alias that is specified in each connection used to connect to the database.

Résolution

Use one of the below options to address the issue.

Option 1: Enter the Server Address Used by Each Connection

  • In Tableau Cloud, navigate to an affected data source, workbook or flow.
  • Select the Connections or Data Sources tab.
  • Under the Connects to column, highlight and copy the server address specified there. If it is blank, navigate to the affected data source or workbook and select Actions (...) > Edit Connection. Enter a specific identifier (e.g., localhost or the actual database server name) in Server name and click Save.
  • Go to the Settings page and select the Bridge tab.
  • Under Private Network Allowlist, select Add New Domain, and paste the server address from step 3.
  • In “Domain permissions” select “Allow”
  • Select the appropriate pool then select Save.

We recommend using Named Pools for greater service availability and simplified network management.

Option 2: Assign Bridge Client(s) to the Default Pool (Only for Published Data Sources)

  • In Tableau Cloud, go to the Settings page and select the Bridge tab.
  • Under Pooling, expand the named pool(s) to display their assigned Bridge clients.
  • Select the Edit (pencil icon) next to each Bridge client and from the Pool drop down, select Default and Save
  • Delete any domains contained in the Private Network Allowlist.

Important: When using the default pool as a workaround, unless you have additional Bridge clients assigned to designated pools, you must delete all domains listed in the Private Network Allowlist domain registry for all Bridge refresh jobs to use the default pool.
