To check whether the SSL certificate uses Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), carry out the following steps:
  1. Access the Tableau Server instance in a web browser (e.g. Google Chrome).
  2. Click on the padlock icon next to the address bar > Certificate > Details tab.
  3. In the list of fields, look for Signature algorithm.
  4. If the value ends in 'ECDSA', which stands for Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm, the certificate uses ECC.
