The URL Used to Access a Published Workbook Changes after the Workbook Name is Updated and Published to Tableau Server

Description
The URL which is used to access a published workbook/worksheet is changed after the workbook/worksheet name is modified and then re-published to Tableau Server from Tableau Desktop.  

Cause

Currently, the behavior is by design. 



 
Resolution

Workaround

If the desire is to alter the workbook name but keep the URL consistent, use the Web Edit function on Tableau Server. 
Log into Tableau Server, locate the workbook, use Web Edit and rename the workbook or worksheet name then save it.
