Issues not resolved through Chat will be automatically converted into a Support case.
Chat will not be the best channel for submitting certain types of Tableau issues that require lengthier troubleshooting. For example, if you have a Tableau Server issue that is likely to require sharing logs for troubleshooting, the best way to work with Support will be through a case.
