Data 360: Incremental Refresh Counts for Activations

Publiseringsdato: Dec 2, 2025
Beskrivelse

When viewing the Activation History of an incremental refresh activation, a record is sent for every update made, which means the total activation count can be higher than what is actually activated.

As an example for Marketing Cloud, let's say you previously had 10 records and in the latest processing run, 5 records were updated and 10 records were added. The total count in the data extension will be 20 but the activation count will be 15.

A deletion example would be a segment with a population count of 4, consisting of the records: A, B, C, and D. Let’s say after a processing run, the segment population remains 4 but now consists of records: E, G, F, and H. The activation count would show 8 records to account for the 4 record deletes and 4 record adds, while the count in the data extension would be 4.
