Admins may find that although they see active Chat User licenses listed in their org's Company Information they are unable to see or select the "Chat User" permission on User Detail records.

 

Løsning

 

The "Chat User" permission is only available for selection on user records for existing implementations of Chat for Support Agents. Customers who have implemented the feature can continue to use it however, the Chat User Checkbox will not be visible on the User Detail page for new customers.

 

Chat is a legacy product in maintenance-only mode and Salesforce is no longer building new features or enhancements for the product.

 

New customers and existing customers with legacy Chat implementations are encouraged utilize or move to the Messaging for In-App and Web product. Messaging offers many of the chat features that you love plus asynchronous conversations that can be picked back up at any time.

 

The Messaging for In-App and Web Messaging is available through Digital Engagement. The Digital Engagement Chat Features are available after you Give Users Access to Messaging for In-App and Web.
