After configuring the Header and Footer URL settings in Experience Builder > Settings > CMS Connect, you may notice that the CMS Connect (HTML) component is not available to add to certain pages in your Experience Cloud site.
Salesforce CMS Connect is a feature in Experience Builder that allows you to inject external CMS-managed content — such as branded headers and footers from an external website — into your Experience Cloud site pages. This enables consistent branding across a company's web presence and its Salesforce-powered community pages.
The CMS Connect (HTML) component is not available for authentication-related pages. This is working as designed because these pages require a lightweight, secure rendering context that is incompatible with external CMS-injected content.
The following Experience Builder page types do not support CMS Connect (HTML) components. This behavior is working as designed:
These pages are rendered in a restricted security context to protect authentication flows. External CMS-injected headers and footers, which may load external scripts or resources, are not permitted on these pages.
If you need consistent branding (such as a company logo or color scheme) on these authentication pages, use the built-in Experience Builder branding tools instead of CMS Connect:
