Files Connect Integrations with Personal Google Apps May Require Verification

Data pubblicazione: May 3, 2026
Descrizione

Files Connect can be configured to allow Google Workspace files to be viewed directly in Salesforce. This integration also works with Experience Cloud sites, allowing users to access shared Google content once they authorize their Google account.

When this integration is used within an Experience Cloud site, Google may classify the connected app as a "user-facing app" and require formal app verification before users can authorize. Until verification is complete, users will see a warning message stating that the app is unverified.

Risoluzione

To resolve the 'app not verified' warning, work with your Google Workspace administrator to submit the app for verification through the Google Cloud Console. Verification options are available under the OAuth consent screen for your API or Service in the Google Cloud Project console.

The verification process may take time. In the interim, users can bypass the unverified app warning by:

  1. Clicking Advanced on the warning screen.
  2. Clicking the link at the bottom that reads "Go to [Your App Name] (unsafe)".

Note: Bypassing the unverified warning may not be appropriate for all enterprise security policies. Consider restricting access until verification is complete if your security policy requires it.
