After creating a Data Stream from Google BigQuery, the data appears to load in the Data Streams, however, when attempting to view this data in Data Explorer, it displays no records.
There are also no error messages displayed in the UI that would indicate a problem.
This is typically caused by missing permissions for the user who set up the BigQuery connection.
To fix this:
After updating the permissions, the data should appear in Data Explorer.
This behaviour is related to a generic BigQuery permission-related issue. Refer to Google's documentation for more details. Specifically, look for information about the bigquery.readsessions.create permission.
