If the user disables MFA or their site gets changed, Tableau Desktop may fail to launch on MacOS if LBLM with Tableau Cloud is being used.
The Tableau Desktop app itself does not Launch. The installation is successful but when we try to Launch the app the icon just bobs up and down in the app tray and then under "Force quit application" we can see the Tableau showing as "Not Responding". Opening .twb files directly to launch the app does not work. There is no error message.
You can also see the following errors in TD logs:

1. Remove Tableau Desktop from your computer on macOS shown in the instructions to Completely Remove Tableau Desktop.
2. Rename the FlexNet folder as directed in this article.
3. Delete the current ATR by navigating to the correct Desktop location, then remove the current activation (ATR) by performing the commands below:
cd /Applications/Tableau\ Desktop\ <version>.app/Contents/MacOS
./atrdiag -deleteAllATRs
4. In an external browser, confirm that the user is able to sign in to their Tableau Cloud site successfully.
5. Reinstall Tableau Desktop - it may take longer that usual for the app to open (may also show Not Responding in force quit apps) but once it opens, sign in to the correct Tableau Cloud site to activate the license.
