Submitting Projects in Partner Community

As part of the Project submission process in the Manage tab, Salesforce requires a Customer Org ID for all projects being submitted. A Customer Org ID is a unique identifier for a production environment. Projects contribute to your progress toward the next Partnership tier, are featured on your Consulting AppExchange listing, influence your Navigator Scorecard, and affect CSAT scores. To acknowledge the importance of this requirement, we've increased the points from projects which now contribute 10% to your Scorecard!

How do I find the Customer Org ID?

The Customer Org ID is a required field on the Project submission form. You can locate the Customer Org ID by following the below instructions for each org type (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Slack, MuleSoft, and, Tableau).

1. Salesforce Org ID

Follow the below steps to find your Salesforce Organization ID:

  • For Classic: Click on Setup > Under Administer > Company Profile > Company Information
  • For Lightning: Click on Gear Icon > Setup > Company Settings > Company information
    • Search for Salesforce.com Organization ID after performing the above steps.  The Organization ID is on the right hand column on the Company Information page.

A helpful video is available to find these fields in your Salesforce instance - Salesforce Video walk through on this topic.

Alternatively, your Organization ID can be found via the Salesforce Help Portal (https://help.salesforce.com/s/support).

  • Log In to the Salesforce Help
  • Select Contact Support in the upper right to open the Support landing page
  • View your Organization ID on the Salesforce banner

Note: The Organization ID of production environment is different from a Sandbox Organization ID. Whenever a Sandbox is refreshed, a new ID is established.

3. Slack Org ID

Your Slack URL and ID are unique identifiers for your Slack workspace or Enterprise Grid organization and can be used to take a variety of actions in Slack. Read on to learn how to find your Slack URL and ID.

Find Your Slack URL

Your Slack URL — also called your workspace or org URL — is your workspace or organization name followed by the slack.com domain (ex. acmeinc.slack.com). To find your URL when you're signed in to Slack, use the steps below.

  • From your desktop, click your workspace name (on top left corner) in the sidebar.
  • Locate your workspace's Slack URL below the workspace name.
  • Tip: If your URL is cut off, you can view it on the workspace settings page.

Find your workspace or org ID

Workspace and org IDs can be used to approve workspaces for your network, manage desktop app configurations, and more. To find your workspace or org ID when you're signed in to Slack, use the steps below.

  1. From your desktop, open Slack in a web browser using your org URL (ex. acmeinc.enterprise.slack.com).
  2. Once the page loads, the URL will be in the following format: https://app.slack.com/client/EXXXXXXX/CXXXXXXX.
  3. Your org ID is the string beginning with 'E'.

4. MuleSoft Org ID

There are different methods to obtain the MuleSoft Organization ID.

Method 1: Use anypoint-cli

You can use the anypoint-cli (command-line interface) tool to execute account business-group to get a list of the business groups, their types, and the organization id. Note that you must install anypoint-cli first.

Method 2: Extract it from the URL

After logging into the Anypoint Platform, choose Access Management. Alternatively, you can also use the following URL: https://anypoint.mulesoft.com/accounts/businessGroups

  • If you are using the classic UI, click on the "Organizations" from the left-hand side menu:
    • You will see a tree view of the Master Org and business groups listed. Click on the master Org or a business group, you will see the Organization ID
  • If you are using the New Feature UI, click on "Business Groups" from the left-hand side menu:
    • You will see a tree view of master Org and business groups listed. Click on the master Org or a business group. You will notice that the URL of your web browser's location bar has changed to something like this: https://anypoint.mulesoft.com/accounts/businessGroups/XXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXX
    • The masqueraded string ('XXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXX') on the example provided URL (after 'businessGroups/') is the Org ID of the selected organization.

Method 3: Use Anypoint Platform REST API

Please see the article How to generate your Authorization Bearer token for Anypoint Platform to get a token to invoke the API. Then invoke the URL: https://anypoint.mulesoft.com/accounts/api/me with the token.

Example: curl -H "Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]" https://anypoint.mulesoft.com/accounts/api/me tags: Core Services ID

5. Tableau Tenant Org ID

If you cannot see your Tableau tenant within Salesforce Help, please ensure the following:

  • If you are an on-premise user, you must first be added as a user to your organization’s Tableau Customer Portal account. Please reach out to your Portal Admin to be added. Instructions for how to be added to your Tableau Customer Portal account can be found in the Manage Users in the Tableau Customer Portal knowledge article. Once you are added to your Customer Portal account, you will see your Tableau tenant within Salesforce Help and be able to submit a support case.
  • If you are a Tableau Cloud user, you should be able to select your tenant if you were provisioned as a Tableau Cloud user. If you cannot see your tenant, please reach out to our Tableau Customer Service Team at https://id.tableau.com/help.
  • If you are a Partner trying to submit a technical support case on behalf of a customer, you will first need to be granted access. Reach out to your customer and reference the first bullet above for on-premise deployments and the second bullet for Cloud deployments.
