It is essential for Administrator to adopt certain best practices to ensure a seamless login experience for their users. Here are some recommendations to help you navigate the process efficiently:
Designate Multiple Admins
Having multiple admins can help distribute responsibilities and reduce dependencies on a single individual. This approach can also ensure that critical tasks are completed even in the absence of a primary admin.

Essential Roles for Marketing Cloud
To ensure a smooth experience managing your Marketing Cloud account, it is important to assign appropriate roles to administrators. Only two roles are necessary: Marketing Cloud Administrator and Administrator.

One admin without SSO
When a user is SSO-enabled, they can't log in directly and must rely on SSO. Therefore, one of the user admins should have SSO disabled in the account in case SSO issues are encountered.
To create an admin user without SSO, follow these steps:
Maintain an internal list within organization
By maintaining an internal list of admins in Marketing Cloud, you can streamline admin management, ensure smooth account login, and improve overall security and compliance.
Important Note: Role and Permission Changes
Please be aware that our Support team is unable to make changes to roles and permissions on your behalf. Any modifications to roles and permissions must be performed by the SFMC Admin on the account.
Additionally, it's essential to note that the Welcome Email will not restore previous roles assigned to a user. This means that if changes are made to a user's roles, the Welcome Email will not revert them to their original roles.
To ensure accurate role assignments and permissions, please have your SFMC Admin make any necessary changes directly on the account. This will help prevent any potential issues or disruptions to your SFMC setup.
Are you still unable to log in? Reach out to Salesforce Technical Support for help. Trust is our #1 value. For your security, Technical Support will require collaboration with your account administrators, Designated Contacts, and your Salesforce account representative to resolve login issues.
