Salesforce is retiring Close Date Predictions, a part of Einstein Deal Insights in Pipeline Inspection, as of Spring ‘25. Instead, enable Einstein Opportunity Scoring, which gives robust predictions of an opportunity’s likelihood to close, including the top reasons for the predictions. In addition to Einstein Opportunity Scoring, you can continue using the other features of Einstein Deal Insights in Pipeline Inspection, such as insights from calls, emails, and service cases.
What does this change mean for me?
Users will no longer see predictions in Pipeline Inspection when opportunities are unlikely to close in the current month. Previously, when a close date prediction was available for a specific opportunity, an icon appeared on the Close Date field, or the prediction showed in the Insights tab of the side panel.
What action can I take?
Most users of Pipeline Inspection will already have enabled Einstein Opportunity Scoring. Opportunity Scoring is available with your Sales Cloud license. After you’ve enabled this feature, users can add the Opportunity Score column to their Pipeline Inspection list views. Insights from the Opportunity Score, such as information about opportunity progress and sales activities, will automatically show up in the Insights tab of the side panel in Pipeline Inspection. For more information, see Einstein Deal Insights in Salesforce Help.
What happens if I don’t take action?
After the Spring ‘25 release, Close Date Predictions will stop appearing. To continue driving your users’ success, we recommend you enable Einstein Opportunity Scoring for Pipeline Inspection.
How do I identify affected users?
Pipeline Inspection users are affected. Permission sets include Pipeline Inspection, Pipeline Inspection Included, Revenue Intelligence Admin, and Revenue Intelligence User.
