Salesforce Email Template Shows 'None' for Survey Builder Default Settings

When trying to choose an Email Template under Default Settings within Survey Builder, "None" displays and no email templates are visible even though there should be email templates available. 

Løsning

This issue usually happens when the email template is created without cloning the standard email template available (Embed_a_Survey_Link or Embed_a_Survey_Question) when the Survey is enabled from the Survey Settings.

If the standard templates are edited, it is also possible that cloning them will not work.

Below are the steps to follow in that case:

  1. Go to App Manager and search for Email Templates.
  2. Create a new Email template or edit the one which you want to use.
  3. In the Related Entity Type, it is important to select 'Survey Question'.
  4. In the HTML Value, you can draft the body as per your requirement, but to make it appear in the Survey Builder, you need to create a text URL link. In order to do that, type any text like 'Open Survey', select it, and click on the Link button to link a URL
  5. In the 'Link URL' field, put the value as "[[SURVEY_INVITATION_URL]]". The text should appear as Open Survey.
  6. Save the Email template and then you should see the template in Survey Builder.
