Salesforce Field Service Legacy Embedded Appointment Management has been retired on June 17, 2025. This change affects these editions:

  • Unlimited Edition

  • Performance Edition

  • Performance Edition 1

  • Enterprise Edition + Digital Engagement

Why did Salesforce retire this feature?

To meet evolving customer needs, Salesforce is focusing on features that are more frequently adopted by customers. 

What does this change mean for me?

On June 17, 2025, you can no longer access Embedded Appointment Management. You can continue to use this product until that date. 

What action can I take? 

Use Appointment Assistant in Field service, which offers many similar features.

Transition from Embedded Appointment Management to Appointment Assistant

As of June 17, 2025, Salesforce Field Service Legacy Embedded Appointment Management is retired. Customers should transition to Appointment Assistant in Salesforce Field Service, which offers similar self-service scheduling and communication features.

Appointment Assistant allows customers to:
  • Confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments via self-service flows
  • Receive automated notifications about their upcoming service appointments
  • Interact with scheduling through Experience Cloud or SMS


To get started with Appointment Assistant, work with your Salesforce administrator to configure the Appointment Assistant Self-Service Scheduling flows in your Salesforce Field Service org.
