Unable to change the order of Summary Formulas in Salesforce Reports

Description

In Salesforce Reports, Summary Formulas are displayed in the order they were created and cannot be directly reordered after creation. This is a known limitation of the Report Builder.

To change the order, all existing formulas must be deleted and re-created in the desired sequence.

 

Résolution

The display order of Summary Formulas created within the report cannot be changed. They will be displayed in the order they were created.

To modify the order, you must delete all existing summary formulas and then recreate them in the order you want them to appear in the report.

Resolution Steps

Note: Please make a backup of the summary formula details before deleting them.

  1. Open the edit screen of the target report and click Fields > on the left side of the Outline tab.
  2. Select [▼] | [Delete] for the items within Summary Formulas.  (Delete all summary fields.) 
  3. Create new summary formulas in the specific order you want them to be changed.
  4. Click [Save & Run].
