Manage Subscriptions for Dynamic Dashboards

This article explains how to resolve the conflict when a dashboard subscription is configured on a dynamic dashboard, since dashboard subscriptions aren't supported on dynamic dashboards. You can either turn off dynamic data visibility or cancel the subscription.

Step 1: Turn Off Dynamic Data Visibility

Change the dashboard's data visibility setting to no longer display data as the viewer (also known as dynamic).

1. Edit the dashboard
2. Open the properties menu
3. Under View Dashboard As, select "me" or "another person" instead of "the dashboard viewer"
4. Click Save
5. Save the dashboard

If the dashboard needs to have an active subscription, you're done.

Step 2 (Optional): Cancel the Subscription and Restore Dynamic Viewing

Follow these steps if you'd rather cancel the subscription and have the dashboard display data as the viewer (also known as dynamic).

1. View the dashboard
2. Click Subscribe
3. Click Unsubscribe, then Unsubscribe again
4. Edit the dashboard
5. Open the properties menu
6. Under View Dashboard As, select "the dashboard viewer"
7. Click Save
8. Save the dashboard
