Error Message displays: "Something went wrong, please contact Salesforce support." (No error code provided). It appears that the "Consent Management Enabled" Org Preference has not been enabled. This setting is expected to be enabled by default.

The failure during the Marketing Cloud Next automated process while provisioning the "Privacy Center Tools" for Marketing Cloud Next could be caused by various issues. Review the following checkpoints before making any changes in the Org listed in the resolution section:

  • Insufficient Permissions: Ensure that the service account or user account being used for the provisioning has necessary permissions in the Marketing Cloud Next.
  • Permission Set Assignments: Please verify that the appropriate permission sets, specifically Data Cloud Architect and Salesforce Admin, are assigned to the user in Marketing Cloud Next. These permission sets are necessary to provision tools such as the Privacy Center. Without these permission sets, access and setup may be restricted.
  • Incorrect Configuration Settings: Double-check the configuration settings for the Privacy Center Tools and Marketing Cloud Next. Misconfigurations can often lead to provisioning failures.
