You may notice that the Calculated Insights to fail due to stale connections in Amazon Redshift when the Acceleration for the respective external DLOs is turned off.
The stale connections are usually created at Amazon Redshit side that causes a resource limitation on the Redshift side when Data 360 try to make connections for each External DLO.
To Verify, you will need to Navigate to Amazon Redshift → Monitoring → Query and Database Monitoring → Database Performance.
Examine the 'Database Connections' and 'RPU capacity used' metrics for the periods before and during the CI's execution.
If you find that there are Stale connections and the CI have Multiple Joins with External DLOs you will need to simplify the CI to decrease the number of joins done on External DLOs
You can also work with Redshift DB admin to clear any Stale connections present on Redshift end and then run the CI.
