When you test the bot from the text preview after entering an input, you will receive an error "There was a problem communicating with the bot. c2c.ChatbotApiException: response code 500"
This type of error usually occurs due to two reasons:
1) Automation
2) Due to a bot connection issue
Determine which root cause applies before taking action. Review event logs first to rule out automation errors, then attempt the C2C reconnection steps if no automation issues are found
Review the following information to determine next steps:
1) If the issue is with the automation, then check the event logs to provide more insights.
2) If the issue is with the bot connection, you can toggle off the Einstein bot outside of business hours then wait for approximately 10 minutes so that the bot is completely disconnected, and toggle the bot on so the C2C connection is re-established and this will solve the C2Cconnection issue
Note: When the bot is toggled off, the Einstein bot will not work for that particular time.
3)Once bot toggling is done you can open the bot and test again. If the issue still persists, please reach out to Salesforce support
