How to query Data 360 objects using SOQL

This article explains how you need to query DLO mapped to custom dataspace.
The below points to be noted while creating Data Lake Objects for custom data spaces:
  1. The Data Lake Objects that are assigned to custom Data Space cannot be queried through SOQL using Developer Console or Workbench.
  2. Because, while querying through developer console/workbench, system will check if the DLO is assigned to default data space. Since, the DLO is assigned to custom (non-default) data space, it will throw error.
  3. DLOs from custom data space can still be queried from Data Explorer and Query Editor in Data 360.
  4. Work-around:
    1. In order to query the data in DLOs assigned to custom data space, map the DLOs to custom DMOs and query on the DMOs using SOQL in developer console or workbench.
    2. Also, the DLOs can be added to default data space, and then be queried using SOQL in developer console or workbench.
