Have you received an email related to Chat/Live Agent Maintenance on your Instance and are worried if you have to make any manual server end point URL updates in your webpage code for MIAW (Messaging for In-App and Web) as well ?
Messaging for In-App and Web (MIAW) will not be affected by the Legacy Chat (Live Agent) server endpoint URL redirections. This article clarifies which customers need to take action.
If you still have LiveChat active in some places, kindly check the chat endpoint URL in your Salesforce settings and ensure it matches the LiveChat code deployed on your websites.
If you are not using MIAW ( Messaging In App and Web) and still using the chat feature, ONLY THEN you will need to update the Chat End point URL in your Embedded Service snippet code which you are using on your webpage.
However, MIAW will not be affected
When Action IS RequiredMIAW doesn't require this process after maintenance, unless you make any changes to Embedded service deployment (ESD) like custom pre-chat, branding, custom LWC etc. If you make changes to ESD then you will need to Publish the deployment to reflects changes.
