Require a response checkbox on Einstein bots Question dialog is updating to unchecked after deploying bot from source to Target org only using Metadata deployment.

Ratkaisu

This behavior occurs because older API versions do not correctly preserve the Require a Response checkbox state during Metadata API deployments.

To resolve this, update your deployment tooling (e.g., SFDX, VS Code, Workbench) to use API version 61.0 or later.

Steps:

  1. In your sfdx-project.json, update 'sourceApiVersion' to '61.0'.
  2. Re-deploy the bot metadata.
  3. Verify that the Require a Response checkbox is now checked in the target org.
