Behavior of the $USER Filter with Middle Names Enabled

The $USER filter generally functions as expected. It exhibits different behavior when middle names are enabled. If a report uses the $USER filter, users with middle names may notice that no results are displayed.

Solución

The current behavior functions as designed.

Filtering on $User matches the user's Name field, which is a concatenation of FirstName and LastName.

As a workaround, affected users can temporarily disable middle name support in the org (Setup > User Management Settings > Enable Middle Names for Person Records) or use a filter based on Username or User ID instead of the Name field, which is not affected by the concatenation behavior.
