Updating Tab Visibility to 'Default Off' for the user does not remove the Tab from the Navigation Menu when the user makes their own customizations

Veröffentlichungsdatum: Nov 29, 2024
Beschreibung

UserA & B both has the same level of access and the tabs.

User A is using the default Navigation Menu without any customizations.
User B has customized the Navigation Menu by rearranging the items.

When the tab visibility is updated from 'Default On' to 'Default Off', the tab will be removed from the Navigation Menu for User A as expected but the UserB will be given the option to remove the tab.

Lösung

This is working as designed.

When a User does not make customizations to the Navigation menu, it considers the default access given by the Admin. So, the tab disappears from the menu when an admin updates the tab access to default off.

When a User makes customization to the Navigation menu, the user then overrides the default behavior with his own arragment and the selection of tabs. So, when the tab access is updated to Default off, it appears with X mark giving the user option to remove.
