Tableau Error "Uncaught range error: maximum call stack size exceeded" when viewing workbook in Server.

Description

This issue may occur when trying to load very large arrays in JavaScript. For your reference, web browsers have limitations as well. For example, Google Chrome has a memory limit of up to 2GB for loading web pages.

Resolution

The below given steps, should assist to fix the issue:

  1. On Tableau Server, click your profile image in the top right corner of the browse

  2. And choose "My Account Settings"

  3. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page, deselect "Enable animations", and click Save Changes.

Or 

While publishing the workbook form Tableau Desktop disable the Animation.

  1. Choose Format > Animations.
  2. If you want to animate every sheet, under Workbook Default, click "Off".
