Orgs enabling Shield Platform Encryption for the User.Email field can’t receive Product & Service Notifications. Shield Platform Encryption is working as intended; however, Salesforce has responsibilities to inform you of certain changes to features, functionality, or service. 

We’re requesting that orgs provide us with a viable email address to ensure we can effectively communicate product behavior changes.

  • Your org could be in the pipeline to migrate to Hyperforce, Salesforce’s public cloud offering. 

  • We need to ensure that with any org migrations, your org is notified and prepared for the change.

What are Product & Service Notifications? 

  • Product & Service Notifications are communications from the Salesforce Technology Communications & Readiness team sent to admins of Salesforce orgs via email to alert them of any changes to features, functionality, or service that may impact their use of Salesforce. These notifications may include actions admins must take to prepare for these changes.

  • Product & Service Notifications include:

    • Major Release Reminders

    • ​Off-Cycle Releases (outside of the 24-hour standard release window)

    • Product Behavior Change

    • Service Maintenances

    • Product & Feature Retirement Notifications & Newsletters

    • Infrastructure Upgrades & Changes
