Duplicate list views in Salesforce can cause conflicts, particularly when developer names overlap. If the Lightning interface does not allow deletion, manual steps in the Classic interface are required to resolve the issue.
Follow these steps to manually delete duplicate list views:
1. Identify Duplicate List Views:
- Use the Developer Console or run the following SOQL query to find duplicate list views:
__________________________________________________
SELECT CreatedById, CreatedDate, DeveloperName, Id, IsSoqlCompatible, LastModifiedById, LastModifiedDate, LastReferencedDate, LastViewedDate, Name, NamespacePrefix, SobjectType, SystemModstamp FROM ListView WHERE DeveloperName LIKE '%1'
__________________________________________________
2. Retrieve the List View ID:
- Copy the `Id` of the duplicate list view from the query results.
3. Access the List View in Classic Interface:
- Use the following URL to open the List View in Classic:
__________________________________________________
https://<yourInstance>.lightning.force.com/ui/list/FilterEditPage?id=<ListViewRecordId>
__________________________________________________
Replace `<yourInstance>` with your Salesforce instance and `<ListViewRecordId>` with the List View ID.
4. Delete the Duplicate List View:
- Open the URL in a new browser tab.
- The Classic interface will display the List View details.
- Click the Delete button.
5. Verify Deletion:
- Refresh the query results or navigate back to the Lightning interface to confirm the duplicate List View no longer exists.
