Running Active Platform Event-Triggered Flows and Data Cloud-Triggered Flows Copied from Production to Sandbox

Description

If you copy an active Data Cloud triggered or a Platform event triggered flow from a production environment to a sandbox environment, the copied flow’s status is Active in the sandbox environment. However, to run the flow in the sandbox, you must save and activate a new version of the flow. 

Résolution

This article explains what to do when an active Data Cloud-triggered or Platform Event-triggered flow that was copied from production to a sandbox shows as Active, but doesn't actually run.

Steps to resolve

  1. Save the flow as a new version in the sandbox.
  2. Activate that new version.

Once the new version is saved and activated in the sandbox, the flow will run as expected.
