Explains how to fix the "Problem Verifying Your Identity" error during MFA temporary code generation.

This error displays when "Multi-Factor Authentication" is not in the "High Assurance" session security level.

Resolution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Log in as a System Administrator.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then click Setup.
  3. Navigate to Setup | Security | Session Settings.
  4. In the [Session Security Levels] section, add "Multi-Factor Authentication" to the [High Assurance] column and click [Save].

Note:

If you log in using an SSO Identity Provider’s MFA, ensure the SSO provider's name is also set to High Assurance.
