Turn On Actionable Instant Results in Salesforce Einstein Search

Publiseringsdato: Sep 8, 2025
Beskrivelse

In the Einstein option for Instant Results, as you start typing in the global search bar, the search functionality scans all the records you’ve recently viewed, getting instant results.  Matches are identified based on the record name and any searchable secondary fields. A secondary field is an additional piece of information displayed beneath the record's name. If no matches are found within your recently viewed records, the system initiates a general search. The general search focuses solely on the record name unless the record name is an auto-number, such as in cases or work objects. For these auto-number fields, the results rely on the searchable secondary field instead.

To be precise, this includes the ability to hover over each record to view additional information about it, such as related lists and action buttons like ‘Edit’ or ‘Clone’. This enhanced functionality ensures users can quickly access and manage records efficiently.

Note:

  • The information in this article is specific to Einstein search and does not control the standard Salesforce global search.
  • The functionality is dependent on Einstein Search setting in Salesforce (refer to the setup below).
