How to Log In as Another User in Salesforce (Admin Login Access)

Julkaisupäivä: Jun 17, 2026
Kuvaus

Salesforce administrators can log in to a Salesforce org as another user to help troubleshoot issues that user is experiencing. This is known as "Login As" and requires the Modify All Data permission. Depending on the org's settings, the individual user may need to grant login access to the admin first.
Example use case: A Salesforce admin needs to reproduce an error that a sales rep is seeing on their screen. The admin logs in as that user to replicate the issue without requiring the user to be present.

Ratkaisu

To log in as another user in Salesforce:

  1. From Setup, enter Users in the Quick Find box, then select Users.
  2. Click the Login link next to the target user's username.
    1. This link is available only for users who have granted login access to an admin, or in orgs where admins are permitted to log in as any user.
  3. To return to your admin account, select [User's Name] | Logout.

Known limitations:

  • This feature is not supported when Salesforce is configured as a SAML identity provider (IdP) for single sign-on (SSO) to a service provider. In this scenario, the admin receives an Insufficient Privileges error.
  • While logged in as another user, login flows — whether associated with the user's profile or the admin's profile — do not execute.
