In a multi-node environment with Tableau Server 2024.2.6, 2023.3.13, 2023.1.20 and later, when Tableau Prep Flow Authoring (floweditor) is deployed on two or more nodes, the following errors may occur during flow editing.
ConnectionID value not known
or
[SQLSTATE:58S01] The database "hyper.file:xxxxxx\temp\floweditor_xxxxx\loomxxxxx\xxxxx\Maestro" could not be created: unable to resolve the database path: Directory does not exist
or
[SQLSTATE:58S01] The database [File Path hidden] could not be created: unable to resolve the database path: Directory does not exist
This issue could be found in below Tableau Server versions:
2024.2.6-2024.2.7
2023.3.13-2023.3.14
2023.1.20-2023.1.21
Option 1:
Upgrade to below Tableau Server versions which has fixed this issue.
2024.2.8 or later
2023.3.15 or later
2023.1.22 or later
Option 2:
Change the Tableau Server topology to make Tableau Prep Flow Authoring (floweditor) exist on only one node.
Option 3:
Use Tableau Prep Builder to create new flows and edit existing flows.
