Outlook Integration Error- "This add-in requires permission to access and use your data. *"

This article explains why some users see a permission message on the Outlook Integration login screen, and what to do about it. This is an expected message due to Microsoft's Nested App Authentication changes introduced in February 2025.

If Microsoft 365 Admin Has Already Granted Access

Users may still see this message the first time they use Outlook Integration. They'll be automatically logged in after clicking "Review and Accept Permissions."

If Access Hasn't Been Granted Yet

Users will get another Microsoft prompt to accept permissions and may need to contact their Microsoft 365 admin for help.
