Learn difference between "New Contract" & "Create Contract" buttons on quote & order in Revenue Cloud

The New Contract button is part of the out-of-the-box functionality for Revenue Cloud, enabling users to create a Contract from a Quote and Order with App Usage Assignment under Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM). However, this feature does not generate Sales Contract Line records during the contract creation process.

The Create Contract button, introduced as part of Salesforce Contract functionality, allows users to generate Contracts from a Quote or Order. Unlike the New Contract feature, this button does not include any App Usage assignment, indicating that it is not an RLM contract. Additionally, this feature generates Sales Contract Line records for the Quote Lines or Order Products from which the contract is created.
