'Case transferred to you' Email Notification on Salesforce Case Owner Change

When the owner of a Salesforce Case is changed—whether manually by an agent or administrator, or automatically through a case assignment rule—the new case owner receives a system-generated email notification with the subject "Case transferred to you."

This notification is controlled by the Notify Case Owners when Case Ownership Changes setting in Support Settings. This article explains how administrators can enable or disable this notification in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.

Solución

The "Case transferred to you" email notification is controlled by the Notify Case Owners when Case Ownership Changes checkbox in Support Settings. Administrators can toggle this setting at any time to enable or disable the notification for all users in the org.

Disable or Enable Case Owner Change Notification in Salesforce Classic

  1. Click Setup.

  2. Select Customize.

  3. Select Cases.

  4. Select Support Settings.

  5. Deselect the Notify Case Owners when Case Ownership Changes checkbox to disable email notifications. Select the checkbox to enable email notifications.

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Setup.

  2. Select Feature Settings.

  3. Select Service.

  4. Select Support Settings.

  5. Deselect the Notify Case Owners when Case Ownership Changes checkbox to disable email notifications. Select the checkbox to enable email notifications.
