Marketing Cloud Personalization | Content Zone Defined in Sitemap Not Appearing in Web Template Content Zone Selection

Julkaisupäivä: Sep 27, 2025
Kuvaus
In Marketing Cloud Personalization, Content Zones define where on a customer's website a Web Campaign will be displayed. Content Zones are defined within the Sitemap embedded in the customer's website, and can be edited and saved from the Marketing Cloud Personalization admin screen or the Visual Editor.
While Content Zones normally become selectable in the Content Zone field of a Web Template, there are rare cases where a Content Zone exists in the Sitemap but does not appear in the Web Template's Content Zone selection field.
Ratkaisu
The currently known effective workaround is to re-save the Sitemap via the Visual Editor. This is also indicated by an in-UI message:
Important
Updates to Page Types or Content Zones must be performed through the Web Sitemap Editor accessed via the visual editor.
If this issue occurs, please re-save the Sitemap via the Visual Editor and verify whether the issue is resolved.

Steps:

  1. Log in to Marketing Cloud and navigate to the Personalization admin screen
  2. Open a new tab, access the URL of the website where the Sitemap is embedded, then launch the Visual Editor (toggle it on)
  3. Click Sitemap from the bottom right of the screen
  4. Add a space to the Sitemap
※ This action enables the SAVE button in the upper right of the screen
  5. Click [SAVE], then click [EXECUTE]

If the issue persists after following the steps above, please open a Technical Support case with the following information:
  • Login Access setting for the Marketing Cloud Engagement environment
  • Dataset name in Marketing Cloud Personalization
  • Web Template name where the issue can be confirmed
  • URL of the website where the Sitemap is embedded
  • Name of the Content Zone that is not appearing
