Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboard Upcoming Retirement

Data pubblicazione: Mar 3, 2026
Descrizione

What’s Changing

We’re retiring Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, and Activities Dashboard. We’re also introducing a new setting which syncs captured email data to Salesforce as activity data. Email data synced as ‌activity data is available in standard Salesforce reports and doesn’t require the legacy EAC reporting tools.

If you create an org or turn on EAC for the first time in an existing org after the Summer ‘25 release or later, your captured email data automatically syncs to Salesforce as activity data. You don’t have access to the legacy EAC reports.

Who’s Affected

If you turned on EAC before Summer ‘25, prepare for this retirement and changes to captured email data reporting.

Why Are We Retiring These Reports

In Summer ‘25, we changed how EAC captures and stores email data.

Previously, email data collected by EAC wasn’t stored in standard objects, wasn’t accessible to many Salesforce Platform features, and couldn’t be exported. Also, the email data retention period was limited, based on your license type.

In Summer `25, we introduced Sync Email as Salesforce Activity, a setting which allows EAC to capture, sync, and store email data as Task and EmailMessage records. This setting makes email data available to standard tools and features such as reports, automation, SOQL, and APIs.

If you turned on EAC after Summer '25, you can’t access Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboard, or related data. Your version of EAC automatically uses the Sync Email as Salesforce Activity setting and doesn’t need the legacy EAC reporting tools.

What You Need to Do

Turn on Sync Email as Activity setting and update how you report on previously captured data. We’re working to provide a self-service option to turn on the sync email as Salesforce activity setting and migrate some existing email data before the legacy EAC reports retire. To turn on the new setting without data migration before the self-service option is available, contact Salesforce Customer Support. You can include up to six months of past email data from user inboxes for reporting.

Changes to Reporting and Impact on Other Features

When Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is turned on, Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboards, and related data and information aren't available. This impacts reporting and other features that use or are built on these data sources.

  • Einstein Activity Capture Sharing Settings

  • Contact Suggestions, Contact Auto-Creation, and Recommended Connections

  • Account Intelligence, Contact Intelligence, and Lead Intelligence views (specifically,  Activity Metrics and Activity Metrics Summary)

  • Pipeline Inspection (specifically, Activity Timeline Metric Summary, Users Involved in Deals, and External Contacts sections)

  • Einstein Conversation Insights (specifically, Unified Activity Insights)

Objects that store Activity 360 Reporting data are also scheduled to retire: UnifiedEmail, UnifiedEmailParticipant, UnifiedMeeting, UnifiedMeetingParticipant, UnifiedTask, and UnifiedTaskParticipant.

To report on and analyze email data when Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is on, use
activity reports and the last activity date metric. To limit a report to email data, use Email Message as the primary object for the report.

If you’re not ready to Sync Email as Salesforce Activity, you can continue to use Einstein Activity Capture with Activity 360 Reports, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboards, and related data until these features are retired.
