Latency Issues with Custom Knowledge Answer Prompt Template Type

Description

When you customize how AI agents answer user queries by creating a prompt template with the Knowledge Answers prompt template type from scratch, there is an increase in answer latency.

Resolution

To resolve latency issues, you’ll need to copy your custom prompt template instructions into a new version of the standard Answer Questions with Knowledge prompt template.

  1. From prompt builder, open your custom prompt template with the Knowledge Answers prompt template type. Copy your instructions in the prompt template workspace.

  2. Next, open the standard Answer Questions with Knowledge prompt template in prompt builder.  

Select Save As, Save as a New Version

  1. In the new version, add the instructions from your custom Knowledge Answers prompt template into the prompt template workspace.
