"Some fields, including description and long text area fields, can't be included in filter logic" error when building History reports

History report types in Salesforce store field audit data using specialized field types (New Value, Old Value, Field/Event) that cannot be indexed for filter logic due to their dynamic, polymorphic nature. 

The following field types in History objects cannot be used in filter logic:

New Value, Old Value, Field/Event.

Workarounds include:

1. Remove filter logic and manually review results, or
2. Export the report data and filter externally.

For this limitation, please also consider upvoting an Idea for allowing those fields being used in filter logic.
