Correcting Webhook Domain Issues in Stripe Triggered by Salesforce Payments Changes

Publiseringsdato: May 8, 2025
Beskrivelse

When enabling or disabling Checkout Methods under Merchant Tools > Ordering > Salesforce Payments > {Payment Zone Name}, Salesforce Commerce Cloud triggers the creation or update of a webhook in the Stripe Dashboard. During this process, the system references the values defined in the http-host and https-host fields within Merchant Tools > SEO > Aliases.

If these fields are left empty, the system defaults to using the Business Manager hostname (e.g., production-realm-customer.demandware.net) as the webhook endpoint. This results in the webhook URL in the Stripe Dashboard being set incorrectly, potentially leading to payment processing issues.

Løsning

To prevent webhook misconfiguration and subsequent payment failures:

  • Always ensure that the custom hostname (e.g., www.customdomain.com) is defined in both the http-host and https-host fields under Merchant Tools > SEO > Aliases before enabling or disabling any checkout method.
  • This configuration ensures that the correct custom domain is used as the webhook endpoint during the update or creation process in Stripe.

Note: Before making any changes to Salesforce Payments, verify that each site in Business Manager has its respective custom hostname configured in the http-host and https-host fields. Updates to Salesforce Payments can trigger webhook updates across all sites, so consistent configuration is essential to maintain proper Stripe integration.
